THE UK HOME OFFICE today confirmed the failure of the Mojahedin's appeal against proscription as a terrorist entity in the UK
A Home Office spokesperson said today 'the Home Secretary considered the application carefully and is satisfied that the MEK continues to meet the criterion for proscription.'

Mojahedin lose legal bid
The Mojahedin lost its legal bid to challenge the organisation's inclusion in the UK's proscribed organisations list under the Terrorism Act 2000.
Although the arguments put forward had merit, the judge felt that appealing to the Proscribed Organisation's Appeals Committee (POAC) was the correct way to proceed. POAC's judgement is expected toward the end of the year. Iran-Interlink.

Amnesty International action - Said Masouri  October 2002
Said Masouri has been sentenced to death in Iran for his involvement in a 'military mission' for the Mojahedin.
