| In
an interview with Reuters, Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Chair of the
Subcommittee on the Middle East and Central Asia asked George W. Bush to
adopt a tougher stance against Iran. “By the time we figure what Iran has
been doing, it would already have moved to the point of no return in terms
of nuclear arms capabilities”, she said. Ros-Lehtinen said she does not believe the administration has a clear idea of "what they want to do there and what is the end game. ... I am waiting patiently for a coherent Bush policy on Iran." She said the United States needs to talk tougher with Russia about the need to increase pressure on Iran. Ros-Lehtinen is a co-sponsor of a bill called the Iran Freedom and Support Act of 2005, which would codify existing sanctions, controls and regulations in place against Iran, expand the list of entities that can be sanctioned for doing business with Tehran, Reuters added. Those who follow MKO-related issues are familiar with the name of Ms. Ros-Lehtinen. During past years, she repeatedly expressed support for this idea that the US government should support the MKO. However, now she has limited the ways of encountering Iran to Bush’s tough stance against Iran, Russia and other countries that trade with Iran. In other words, she has quitted supporting this notorious group. Her recent remarks, after the publication of updated US terror list, and not mentioning the name of this group, show that even traditional supporters of this group (mostly deceived by this notorious organization) have found that they should not bet on a dead horse and that notorious MKO has no place in Iran’s political scene. Meanwhile, MKO’s stupid propaganda system produces forged reports for the unaware residents of Camp Ashraf to convince them that the entire world is supporting Maryam Rajavi’s so-called “Third Option”! but day after day, they lose former supporters so that they resort to forging signatures and creating numbers. |
