A Hypocritical Approach

In an interview with the international correspondent of Mehr News, Mahan
Abedin, editor of Terrorism Monitor, discussed the issue of MKO
members’ extradition to Iran in the context of revelations of US secret
prisons in Europe.- The US avoids extraditing MKO members in Iraq, claiming that they may be mistreated in Iran. After the recent scandal of US secret prisons in Europe, how invalid would this approach be?
- Washington has extradited some people to Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt and Algeria, countries which do not have good human rights records, but it avoids extraditing terrorists to Iran. This shows that the issue is political. The US is returning terrorists to the countries with which it is not in conflict but avoids extraditing dangerous terrorists, and this is a hypocritical act.
