Allawi, the head of Al-Iraqia list and former Prime Minister of Iraq, said
in a press conference that when he was Premiere, he had banned all the
activities of the MKO and had accepted their status as refugees. The MKO hoped to be able to continue illegal activities in Iraq in the case of possible victory for Allawi, but he stressed his previous stances and reminded that he wouldn’t allow this group to influence the friendship of the two countries. It should be noted that the coalition of Baathists-Mojahedin supports Allawi’s list in order to use him for changing the Iraqi constitution but Allawi himself is opposed to terrorism and the presence of terrorist groups in Iraq. |
