A Judiciary official said on Wednesday that Iran is preparing a complaint against the terrorist Mujahedin Khalq Organization (MKO) which it will present to an Iraqi special court.

Sabah Zanganeh, an advisor to the chairman of the Department for International Affairs at the Judiciary, told the Mehr News Agency that the complaint is about the crimes committed against Iran by the terrorist group.

Zanganeh said the complaint will be presented to the Iraqi special tribunal set up to investigate crimes against humanity committed by the former regime.

The MKO perpetrated many terrorist acts in Iran.

The group has been officially branded as a terrorist organization by the European Union and the U.S. State Department.

Former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein gave asylum to the MKO and enlisted them in his military campaigns against the Kurdish people of northern Iraq.
