The Copenhagen Post wrote: "The EU list of terrorist individuals and groups may cause problems for the Danish government." This newspaper added: "The inclusion of the defunct Kurdish independence organisation PKK and the Iranian-exile group Mujahedin Khalq in the list could cause some domestic debate in the country. Mujahedin Khalq is an armed group that wants to overthrow the Iranian government and is part of the umbrella resistance organisation NCR. Denmark has had close connections with the group since 1996, a situation that may cause the greatest political problem for Denmark. It should be noted that Mojahedin have recently started efforts to manufacture a situation, with the assistance of lawyers, in order to send a number of their members to this country."
